The Schools and Libraries Program of the Universal Service Fund, commonly known as "E-Rate," is administered by the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) under the direction of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and provides discounts to assist most schools and libraries in the United States to obtain affordable telecommunications and Internet access. It is one of four support programs funded through a Universal Service fee charged to companies that provide interstate and/or international telecommunications services.
3 Reasons Why Clients Use Our ERATE Services
1. TeleTech understands, from the inside, public and private schools. John Rossi, the principal owner and founder of TeleTech Associates, Inc., is an experienced Board of Education Trustee. Mr. Rossi served on the North Merrick BoE from 2004 - 2010 and was the Board of Education President from 2008 - 2010. Mr. Rossi also serves as trustee of his Church/Parish Finance Council. We know of no other Erate company that has this level of school and community experience.
2. TeleTech is an actual telecom-consulting firm. Mr. Rossi has a Master's Degree in Telecommunications (NYU) and his firm has nearly 20 years of hands-on telecom consulting work - including bill auditing, training, network provisioning and complex government filings; such as Lifeline and the 2006/07 Federal Excise Tax Refund. We know of no other Erate company that offers this scope of experience.
3. There are no up-front fees. The company is rooted in bill-auditing, and therefore fees are contingency based - this means that TeleTech has 'real skin in the game' - compensation is tied to deliverables, as opposed to just filing forms; frequently we work for months before a client sees an invoice. Again, we know of no other firm offering a similar fee structure.

Rural Health Care
The Rural Health Care Program of the Universal Service Fund makes discounts available to eligible rural health care providers for telecommunication services and monthly Internet service charges. The program is intended to ensure that rural health care providers pay no more for telecommunications in the provision of health care services than their urban counterparts.

Support is available for telecommunications services and monthly Internet access charges used for the provision of health care. Support is also available for limited long-distance charges for accessing the Internet. The level of support depends on the location and the type of services chosen and is calculated individually for each HCP. A health care provider can save on services it already has, upgrade current services, or install new services.
